New winter tires are on, Dunlop 3D replaced the Nokian WRs
Only a couple of miles on them so time will tell. Had 30k miles on the Nokians with 5/32+ tread remaining. Good mileage for a all season/winter tire, just not enough tread for a snowy winter. The Dunlops were $200 less and more available so the switch.
The SportMaxx were trashed also since the rears were down to the wear bars. 20k miles on them with one trip to the track. My tire guy likes it when I stop by...

I've run both I like the WRs allot better...
better in the snow, equal on ice, much better on the hwy and when it gets warm of course.
3Ds are a nice winter, just not in the same league as the Nokians

Re:Timing was great for the winter tires, lite slush and snow today
Would have been interesting with the worn out summers.
It was a tough decision to switch from the WRs as I really liked them, but they did get noisy and cost more so we'll see how it goes. First day - always nice to have new tires - they are so quiet. Lite snow and slush not a problem.
