I saw the Euro is heavier, but does that warrant 1500 lbs towing difference?
Any insight appreciated!

it's insane to pull more than 1500lbs with this little puke regardless.
electric brakes should be required above 1500lbs, plus does anyone have a clue what the max tongue weight is? My guess, 300lbs or less.
I finding it shocking people are using this as a tow vehicle for any thing over half a ton.

lol. Have you ever seen things towed in Europe? Contrary to what american auto companies want you
to believe, you don't need a 6000 or 7000lb vehicle to tow 4000lbs.
I've seen large campers, boats and vehicles towed abroad by vehicles significantly lighter and less powerful than an ar.

Where the ball connects to the main crossbar looks much stronger on the EU version.
where the ball part slides in to the cross bar is by far the weakest part on the US hitch; it's just a 1" square steel tube. On the EU hitch the ball part slides in to a huge hunk of billet steel about 3" around. I think that is the main strength difference, and where the added weight comes from.
