OK..I learned something when I had the chip put in, My ECU scans as an S, but the outer label says its an R....

Audi re flashed the ECU as part of the recall, giving it the programing of the S.

One of the nice things about the APR Chip is that when you scan it with a VAG it reads the same Vag number as your original chip..in my case also an S. You just can't have a dealer flash it...it won't...
