Ok, I searched and looked on the FAQ....I have the filter AutoZone looked up for the ar...
just wanted to double check to make sure it's the right one....Bosch 3402

Don't get a bosch filter. Use a mobile1 204.
Some here don't like mobile1 filters but I've been getting great UOA's with German Castrol 0w-30 and a Mobile 1 204 or 301 filter. If you browse over to bobistheoilguy Bosch filters are not well regarded.
BTW it seem GC 0w-30 is no longer available and I might try Shell Rotella T 10w30 CJ4

Mahle or Mann oil filters are the recommended filters. Both filters are readily available from on line parts vendors such Autohausaz, or bimmerparts.com. I believe the Mahle is the oem filter, or it was on other model Audis.

Thanks....found the Mobile 1 204 (that also had the other) at O'Reilly's...
thought I had read about the Bosch not being as good, but couldn't find it when I went to refresh my memory...thanks for the speedy post as I was able to find the right one prior to my oil change today
