PSA- For those with non-OE wheels, don't forget to put 5 stock bolts in the car...
to work with the spare. Mine are in a ziplock bag wrapped in a towel so they don't rattle.
Was reminded of this because a friend called me this afternoon to ask why his A6 spare wouldn't tighten down. He runs the H&R 12mm spacers behind his stock wheels so that requires longer bolts. Used the long bolts with the spare but the longer bolts bottom out before the wheel tightens in place. And of course didn't have any of his stock bolts with him.
We need the OE bolts for both the length, and the ball seat. I believe all our wheels (except my ATItalia S5) use a cone seat.
