Default Pulling the flasher-blinker switch/relay.

OK..I know its not rocket science. I pulled off the trim overlay and the switch/relay is in there VERY TIGHT. Naturally I don't want to damage anything.

Any suggestions?

Default IF, tabs exist on the sides. Maybe with the cupholder out you could depress the (edit)

tab on the right side. MAYBE into the backside with the stereo out.

Ok,,, obviously I've yet to do this on this car. Just ideas.

Looks like tabs do exist on each side.

Mine was too. Don't force anything, but keep at it and it'll come out.

Default I used a putty knife to apply prying pressure while wiggling/pulling with needle-nose pliers.

I still did some minor damage to the relay case, but nothing serious.

On the new one, I spanked the side tabs so that it wouldn't be so hard to remove next time.

I grabbed hold of a part of the dead relay with a needle nose, IIRC.

Default I used this post from the B5 S4 forum

Ended up pulling both the cupholder and the ESP/foglight in order to get a screwdriver in to push the hazard relay to one side, then pull out with opposite side hand. make sense?

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1783172.phtml</a

Default Not sure if it's the same in the allroad, but in the A4, I took out the cup holder and used an Allen

wrench to pull from behind the relay.
