Putting a 2001 allroad into storage
I need to park my allroad for 6-12 months, how should I prep it for storage. Mostly I'm wondering about the air suspension and which state I should leave it in. I just recently replaced all my airbags with the basic Arnott airbags.
Should I put the car on jacks and leave it in "jack" mode? Should I disconnect them from the airlines if I'm disconnecting the battery? Thanks for any help you can provide :) p.s. Any other good tips for long term storage are also welcome |
I'd change the oil, fill the gas tank, add Stabil, drive to the parking spot, put in jack mode and park.

+ Seat leather conditioning is worthy
+ Put cat litter into the foot area of the compartment on trays. Against air moisture.. + Handle all rubber door and hatch seals with glycerin against aging and fatigue. You can get it from pharmacy. + If it is in a garage, you do not need to worry much about the brakes. But if there is too much humidity i would do something to protect the rotors. A nylon sack (under the wheel) can be useful. |
