Question for 4.2L Allroad owners
A have a question for owners of the C5 4.2L Allroad.
I love our car, but the thing that really bugs me is the throttle response. It's extremely light and aggressive. Basically it takes very little force to push down on the throttle pedal, and the engine response is huge for a small throttle input. It's as though the throttle mapping goes from idle to full power in the first inch of travel, and the remaining 3 inches just allows automatic change down of gears.
Driving along a bumpy road is a real pain. It's very hard to maintain a constant throttle position and the car just jumps back and forth easily due to the light pedal force, and large power changes with small throttle movements.
Do other people get this or not? I'm trying to find out if this is normal for the car, or if I need to chase down an issue.
Thanks in advance.

Mine is not that sensitive, and I drive on a lot of bumpy roads. I will agree that sometimes it doesn't take much pedal input to get a good amount of power, and the difference between the last inch of travel and floored is not noticeable. But it sounds like yours is overly sensitive.
