Question From your Younger A4 Cousin
Hey Allroad Guys,
Was just curious, my friend is looking for SUV's and I was thinking allroad. But looking through the specs and the pics, no offense to anyone, but in a way it just looks like a raised Avant rather than an SUV. This comparing the Allroad next to the VW Toureg which would be my second choice. Anywayz, for all you guys out there, why did you buy your allroad? I know space and practility, but are there any other reasons? Any of you maybe compared to the Toureg before making a final decision? Thanks everyone!

Because it's not an SUV
But can do pretty much what we need one to do.. We don't off road.. but we dont get stuck in snow... we aren't S4 maniacs, but we can blow the doors off most any one on the road..
We are middle aged...sleepers, who have recaptured our youth with a car...a wagon...a crossover, that let us feel good about ourselves without impressing anyone else. Just turn the key and shift an ar and you will understand... if you are qualified....

They are all different models with the same engine. in fact the 03 allroad has more stock hp than the prev. s4's we have stock 260 v their 250
First is our suspension... its a self leveling (heavy load) air ride suspension. Ride on a cloud.. we can also adjust it up or down with 4 different levels. This you can do on the touregg, but its an option. it think.
the a6 2.7T is just that an a6 with the engine and some suspension upgrades.. a great car, but not the ar... The s4 avant is a different chasis altogeteher..smaller than the ar..
we have so much room front an rear. Its the first car I've owned that I have been a comfortable rear seat passenger... No way on an a4 avant...
