So I looked down at my radiator today and saw I had a couple of blades missing from the fan. I know this is sort of a common problem with the 2.7t engine. I remember RMCQ did a write up on it as well.

I was wondering if it's the same exact fan as the s4's 2.7t motor. Reason I'm asking is that I rather change it over to the electric fan kit and also get some more hp. Does anyone know if it's the same exact fan? I went on SPP's and saw they had it for the S4 but not C5 A6 2.7t(they didn't even have an allroad listed).

My experience with only elctric fans has never been positive.Plus as the electric fan runs it requires electricity which must be recharged by the alternator. When the alternator is fielded to charge the battery the load is greater than the cooling fan is. Any HP gained is very temporary and then there is a penalty.
