Need some help diagnosing a problem? Ever since I picked the car up a week ago the flywheel feels as if the face is not machined true. Let the clutch out very slowly and the car shakes, and you can feel it through the pedal also.

Any of you had this problem? Any thoughts?

Stock or lightweight flywheel? I've got the RS4 clutch with stock flywheel and all is well after 500 mi. I've heard that the lightweight (aftermarket) flywheels aren't as smooth when engaging the clutch.

Maybe all you need to do is burnish the flywheel surface for a while by driving like granny. Hope it's not burned.

at least on the 1.8T we had...sounded like a deisel at idle.

with brand new RS4 clutch/bearing. The best way I can describe it is i's like"warped" rotors. I get a pulsation through the clutch pedal & if I take off gentlly The car will shake until full engagement. so far about 600 miles on it
