RS6 First Drive
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/12000/rs6.jpg"></center><p>Haven't posted for a while, so hi team.
Well took an RS6 for test this week. I loved it. Turbine like power and fantastic handling. The new suspension system really keeps the car flat in corners. Passing is so much fun.
The press car had an optional sports exhaust (why that's not standard on the RS6 is beyond me) which is intoxicating.
The acceleration is very similar to a 911 Turbo, but in a wagon with 4 up. Wild!!!!
The paddle transmission was fine. It seemed fast enough to be useful. Also without flipping to manual you can use the paddles which will hold the selected gear for 15 seconds. Nice feature - though I went up a winding hill in 3rd and the 15 seconds expired so it upshifted to 4th unexpectedly. You'll only do that once!
I couldn't help think that maybe its too good. I mean it's so easy to do 100 mph + and its so compelling to do it that I know I'd get in trouble and would loose my licence and probably end up in jail.
I know that I would manufacture situations where I can pass a line of 4 or more cars at once, just because with the RS6 you could. But its so fast other motorists won't expect you.
Maybe I'm getting too old.
Anyway, to me the RS6 is the best car in the world. I will get one, but I'm going to have to develop some will power.
Cheers,

But it's an AVANT no fair. The car that would of made all the difference
Instead they bring in the Sedan only, just to get passed up by BMW and Mercedes again. AOA's slogan should be, always follow, never lead..
Seriously bring the price down to the correct level and bring the avant.. Now your talking, I would even over look not having a 6spd.
That car is awesome, but the sedan can suck it and AOA can suck it too.

Why are you in and Audi forum when you obviously have an inferiority complex concerning Audis and specifically the best sedan in the world the RS 6. I assume you most likely can't afford one so you need to make yourself feel better by bashing it. You need to hang out in the Yugo site and quit spewing your unhappiness here.
Cheers
