Ruh-roh. Wife called and thinks her turbos are blown...
...of course that could be a bit of paranoia from my experiences with my S4. I bet/hope it is a boost hose that has failed and/or limp mode. Hopefully I can tell this evening. This car is driven way too easily for a 2.7T motor -- no way there should be turbos blown on it!

Diagnosis: Empty power steering fluid reservoir...
...a quick trip to the parts counter of my closest VW dealer and the problem is solved. There's no sign of a leak. It probably just evaporated. I hadn't checked it in at least 6 months.

I doubt it just evaporated, especially in only 6 months. I'd have it looked over, all the liquid could be in the steering arm boots or something.
