Or just have them either replaced or refinished.

So, just got back from a local tire store (1st mistake, but best price) having my snow tires mounted to my 17' audi doublespoke rims. The rims were previously resurfaced to perfection before I bought it under the CPO deal. I thought they were brand new, as a testament to how nice they were.

Well, now they are all dinged up due to careless mounting of the snow tires. Company said they would stand behind their work.

Should I be happy with another resufacing or should I pursue new rims? Either way, they are paying.

Check Here.

I'dd let them resurface them; if you're not happy then you can go from there.

Default I would "Monte Hall" them "Let's Make a Deal" >

keep the twinspokes as is and use as winter wheels. Have them buy you a set of 18" RS6 wheels from Hartmann and now you have a summer set-up.

I only choose the RS6 wheels, as an example.

Default depends on what you want to do with those wheels later...

...if you were looking to upgrade to 18" wheels for summer use, try and find out how much they were going to spend on the refinish, and just get them to cut you a check for that amount and apply that money towards new rims.

If you were looking for using the wheels in the summer too, get them refinished, with the caveat that is you are displeased with the workmanship of the refinished wheels, they should buy you new rims.

BTW - nice to see you back in the forums, even though it is one of the "other" C5 forums )))

i had the same thing happen several weeks ago. to my surprise, the tire shop owner was happy to have the wheels sanded and painted. although i was warned that since they have been repainted, they will chip a lot easier next time i have to have new tire put on.

Good advice....as always, I like the Idea of B7 RS4 reps for the summer.
