Something I dont know?
Hi I just bid on a AR on EBay, Vin WAUYP54B11N140342, 2001 with 44K miles, I was actually high bidder but did not meet reserve.
Whats concerning is nobody else bid on the car and it closed @ $13.6K.
Did I miss something about this car? I wonder why nobody bid on it?
Here is the link<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4600053255&rd= 1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3APIC&rd=1">htt p://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4600053255&rd= 1&sspagename=STR

well feedback is recent sales experience..
He has only sold two other items. Click on his name you can find outwhat they are if they were recent.
Ebay is great.. if've been on both sides of the sale..cars included. But you have to do some research in all cases.
You still have to do you homework on the car.. Why would you bid if you don't know anything about it?
Next auction you like.. pick one a few days away. Make a list of questions and e-mail the seller with them Depending on his answers.. bid or pass. Also take the VIN and call a local dealer's service manager.. tlell him you are looking for an allroad and would he please run the VIN in the Audi service database and give you the history. He may even tell you the last owner of it.. so you can contact them and ask their experience.
No matter whenr you buy the car from you need to do this. even if its from an Audi dealer.

The pics are low quality too...
Very very few allroads sell on ebay or hit the reserve. I did a search of all allroad sales (search allroad -- click on passenger cars on left side and then below that is a box you can check for "completed items" and log in) and only 5% or so actually sold - very random too and in most cases through the "buy it now".
So no cause for alarm. Call the seller yourself and see if you can strike a deal.

Re: I think a few things; first was the time of year the auction ran. Ebay
is typically slow this time of year. People aren't typically watching auctions. As another stated AR's don't seem to be a hot seller on Ebay no matter who is listing them. They don't go near what dealers are asking for them on lots. Many times slow sellers like the AR get even less bid activity depending on where the vehicle is located. Also since the AR's are slow movers on Ebay, there seem to always be plenty of them to choose from any given week. Pull a history of recently ended auctions, you will find not many hit the reserve figure and there is never a shortage of them running on Ebay.
