Stage 3 soon..Who wants my Giac chip?
So hopefully I'll be picking up my AR this weekend at EPL. I had K04/k16's installed with awe-tuning SMIC and EPL fueling kit. It's on the dyno today getting dynotuned. The last that I talked to tony over there at EPL, they got 400wtq and 378whp. I asked him what's the possibility of going 400whp, and he said pretty good because he wasn't done tuning it yet. I'm more than confident that I'll be over 400whp when he's done.
Anyone interested in purchasing my GIAC-X socketed chip? Not sure if there's a difference for the 6spd and auto, but mine was from a 6spd AR.
If interested, send me your offers.. it's $600 new from GIAC and $70 install fee.. I'm just looking to recoup some money from the Stage 3 upgrade..

It can def. be installed by any GIAC dealer.
I had an 03 A4 1.8t before my AR, and I had the GIAC socketed chip in there as well, and sold it to another fellow a4 1.8t guy and the installer charged him $70 to install it. I think that's the going rate from installers.

What else do you have installed to get 400WHP? Headers, RS4 cam, MAF, intake, DP's, exhaust?
Would be very interesting to compare the hardware involved to find out what actually works best for the allroad. I can only dream about 400WHP ;-)

No headers... Labree Down pipes, Random Tech High flow cats, Miltek Exhaust
The fueling kit is from EPL themselves, and it comes with 60lbs injectors and their own 85mm Maf, rs4 accordian hose, Awe intercoolers, rs4 clutch, i have the Darintake mod with the awe s-flo ITG intake. I think that's about it.
Hopefully I can run 12's at the track after this. Last time I ran a 13.9 with just plain K03s and the GIAC-X chip, DP, Exhaust, Rs4 clutch, but with a pretty bad launch. So I should be able to knock down over a second with 400whp... i hope...=D...

How much boost are you going to be running with the hybrids?
AWE won't use the s-flo ITG foam filters on stage 3 because they collapse, you might want to rethink that choice.

Not sure how much boost right now.. I will get all the numbers when
I pick up the car this weekend, and I'll post... Thanks for the heads up on the ITG filter... What type of filter should I go for?
