Thanks for all the input. Took the car to a shop I use. They did not see anything wrong with the axel/arms, etc.. All looked good underneath. Suggested as a troubleshooting idea to have the wheels rotated and balanced. Did this. Problem solved.

Unclear why this would be so intermittent. But whatever.. Have drive about 50 miles with zero shake. Guys at the tire shop also agreed that everything looked solid.

Time will tell but fingers crossed.

This might be too late now. But it could be a slipped belt in the tire itself I have seen and have had it happen to me before. But that's just for your info and keep in mind in case it comes back (fingers crossed)

Can you describe a slipped belt?

I'm my own words a tire is made of layers that create the thickness of the tire it self and if they become loose inside the tire it will be out of balance

For better explanation

Let me know if that sounds like something that makes sense

Cheers

The vibrations caused by the individual unbalanced wheels can either be "in Phase","out of phase", or somewhere in between. If the amplitudes are close and the vibrations are "in Phase", then they cancel out each other. This is the method used in timed balance shafts in engines to reduce vibrations.

In your case the seperate vibrations are not timed. This accounts for the vibrations coming and going.

Final conclusion.

Tires were balanced and rotated. Problem was fixed..... But after three days it returned. Leading me to believe the inside of the tires/radial were falling apart.

Had a set of Bridgestone potenzas mounted. Problem was WAY worse. They found one tire was bad and also double checked allignment.

500 miles layer. All good

I had the same issue and it ended up being the tie rod. Changed it and problem solved. $60 total cost.
