Terminating a lease to purchase early?
Say I have a 3 year lease, and after 1 year I decide to purchase the car, is it possible to terminate and purchase the car?

Yes.. but..
Generally.. depending on the lease company you just ad up your monthly payments and the resudual..and you get the car. Most lease companies don't give you a break on the amount..its not a loan..so you or technically obligated for the total # of renta/lease payments. But there are exceptions, you need to take it up the ladder sometimes.

Leases through Audi Financial Services have a payoff amount
When I called they told me it is a fairly simple payoff procedure, works like a "regular" auto loan payoff.

Procedure and amount are very different.
Call and ask for the amount..I did this in the past with an Audi lease.. a ford lease.. a Chrylser lease.
All three: Multiply your monthly payment by the remaining payments...add the resudual and early lease termination fee stated in the contract.. White us a check.. the car is yours. Very simple procedure.
ON the other hand.. my old 2000 Sable wagon was ...lets make a deal.. but this was a CHASE Auto Lease..not Ford.
