Things to look for when buying an allroad
I am seriously looking at an 02 allroad with 6 speed and around 40K miles on the dial.
Is there any specific things that I should be looking/listening/smelling for particular to an AR above and beyond normal used car inspection.
Also what sort of life can one expect from (a) the turbos, and (b) the air suspension, and what are typical prices for overhaul of a and b above? I know these questions are dependant on how I drive and roads etc etc but just want ball park stuff here.
With 40K on the clock and my annual milage being around 10K and assuming the car in in good condition - I am figuring a fair few years ahead without any major $.
Thanks in advance for any help provided!

For short version skip to bottom
From what I've read here and my limited observations, judging both a & b is like predicting the mood of the opposite sex. If the maint. records are up to date(check dealer, name inside owners kit) and it looks like visually the previous owner pampered the car then just go for it. You just can't spend any time reading the boards and worrying what might happen. There are plenty of people here whom have had good ownership experiance with thier ride and reading what does go wrong in the form of other peoples posts is just a DYI'er or Warranty'er looking for advice, there are tens of thousands who never make it here, they just lease thier car and do the same over again.
Just buy the damn car, you'll love it... ;-)

Re: Maintenance Record is most impt.
Thanks guys, its still under free maintenance so has had all regular dealer servicing, latest one a few weeks ago.
If it checks out like a 40K mile car should then I will be 95% likelty to get it - just got to settle on price.
