It seems so. I've read news that Audi has decided to build it (as the A8 Avant).
Introducing it in 2006 for European market.
It says "not yet decided for US market because currently stationcars are completely "out" in the US." (It is SUV, SUV and SUV ...)
Name might be "Sportback" instead of Avant. This is the name for a new A3 variant that will arrive later this year.
