Default TIP downshifting: VAG candidate?

Make no mistake: I love my allroad. But, as with everything, certain things leave room for improvement.

One of these (which I'm still not getting used to) is the automatic downshifts in TIP mode. I'd rather have it not downshift at all, unless completely stopped.

Does anyone know if the VAG tool can reprogram the transmission controller? Just about every other use imaginable for it has been discussed here. HPH

Default You mean when putting around ? Not possible to stay in 5th to 10mph - would stall the car.

Just like a manual car, if you are in too tall a gear and slowing down, you can stall the car if you allow it to drop below idle speed. The Tip should downshift as it approaches idle in each gear. Not sure if this was your question.
