Default Tire BT: Discount is offering these new Yokohamas with a 60k mileage warranty.

in 245/45-18 for $176 ea. I figure that's really like $60 each if they wear out in 20k like all the others.

What say ye? They are VR rated, not Y or Z, so they must give up some dry traction -- but I'm probably OK with that as long as they're good in the wet. I'm tired of buying tires for this car.

Yoko YK520

Default Re: I was looking at those as well. My local Discount Tire said they

are brand new and just hit the market. He had one tire on hand to show me. Plenty of sipping, etc. Looks to be a great option for an allseason tire.

Default I've had these for the last 11k miles, they are OK (225/55-17)

As far as I know only Discount Tire sells them and they are not new on the market.

$60 each if they DON'T wear out at 20,000 miles, right?

Default Hmm. Not was I was thinking, but I need to check the maff and the replacement policy.

If they wear out at 20k, then the first replacement tire is ~$60 ea (because I'd get 40k miles (or 2/3) credit for premature wear). Not sure what happens if they wear out again at 40k. Maybe not quite as good a deal as I thought.

Though if they actually do last 60k, it would be a bargain for sure.

Default Just got these...Quieter than the Kuhmo's

We'll see how they last. They are pretty new and are an upgrade from the YK420's. I have Yokahama Avid H4s on the jetta and since these are almost equvalent in every spec, we are trying them out.
