Gurus,

I've been dealing with a fault with the tire pressure monitoring system since I picked up the car eight months ago. The system itself is fine (no fault indicator on the dash), but my VAG-COM is showing two consistent faults:

01330 - central control module for central convenience (J393)
78-00 - missing messages
01312 - powertrain data bus
78-00 - missing messages

I've scanned the VAG-COM Yahoo! group and found only the vaguest references to these - Uwe indicated that the 01330 isn't too uncommon, but didn't say more than that.

Anyone else run into this? I'm wondering if there's some sort of minor bus interference that triggering this, rather than a hardware fault.

Is the voltage too low when starting up?

Don't think so - no warning lights; car has only 36k - alternator should be OK
