Default Tire/Wheel Upgrade - how wide should the wheels be? 8 or 8 1/2?

I have decided to upgrade to S03's next spring (yes, I know I'm getting ahead of myself ) and keep my current set for winter. Still going back and forth between the Ronal R7 and R38. Tires are 245-45-18. Which width would be the best fit. Thanks for your imput.

Default The widest rim that will fit in there usually gives it the most aggressive look

and usually the least tire sidewall flex. But at the same time the rims will be less protected by the sidewall.

Default Thanks - looks like 8 1/2 it is unless Ronal or Tirerack suggest otherwise...

and since I, and not my wife, drive the ar nearly all the time I will be EXTRA careful not to grind them on the curbs. Even now with the two-piece wheels my wife says I park too far away from the curb

However, when its raining I will snuggle the ar right up close so she doesn't get her feet wet

Mine doesn't do this... Is there as special "trick" to this feature to activate it?

What I mean isn't passenger mirror suppose to aim down automatically when in reverse?

the trick: the switch has to be in the "R" right position, for it to dip when you put it in reverse.

fj..

Thanks - what a great feature. Now I just leave it pointed to the passenger mirror.
