It is actually a really nice looking car although I agree with those that say it much less masculine/aggressive looking then the current version. I've been promised a test drive this afternoon so we'll see what it is like from behind the wheel. So as I chatted with the salesman, I mentioned that I drove a 6-speed allroad and his eyes just lit-up. He was saying that he's got a couple of customers that are looking for 6-speed alloads and asked if I'd be interested in trading it in on something. I, of course, suggested an even trade on a new S4 avant which supplied adequate entertainment to his fellow sales staff and ended the discussion...but I thought that my fellow 6-speeders would like to know that our rides are in high demand.

Typical sales response. Hard to find until you have to sell it.
Hard to buy until you own it. Mostly, 6-speed is not an asset at sale time, as there are less buyers who can mix their own gears. Thankfully, those who do want to be shifty are motivated.
I love my 6-speed. I imagine them to get more valuable now that the new A6 has no shift option.

I realize that words are cheap, so I told the guy to make me an offer and we'll see...
I'm not even considering this, but it will be entertaining to see what kind of numbers they come up with (if they even bother)...
