Took a little trip to the Lake Superior shore of MN
Finally had a chance to get out into the back country of northern MN. Most people head to warm climates for winter vacations. Not us...
Along Lake Superior as a storm was rolling in. Strong winds and ice/snow was on tap for the drive.

Parking area in the Superior forest, had lunch and spent about 3 hours snowshoeing

The roads were plowed but still had a couple of inches of snow. Every turn of the road was another beautiful winter scene

The preferred method of transportation for many in this part of the country.
