trading in for an LR3...

No new allroad for a while and needed a third row seat. Last year it spent a whole lot of time in service for the same issues (brakes, suspension& check engine light) and last, but not least, a new transmission! (with less than 35K miles and driven by wife)

I will miss the allroad but I admit it did not hold up as my '00 S4, my '96A4 2.8 or previous audis (GTs, etc.); it has been the least reliable audi I have owned. Nonetheless,it is a fine piece of equipment. Looking forward to the new one in a couple of years.

sad to leave audi but..got no choice, the child seat in the allroad was constantly used.

Don't feel bad, we just add a new RR to the family.

But the ar is staying (almost 70k) as the wifes ride. Hope she isn't as hard on it as she was on her Subi (NOT!!!)

Congratulations!!! So am I! The LR3 is nice...and the ideal people-mover!

I don't know if it will be more reliable than your allroad...but it doesn't sound like it could be much worse!

I'm trading/selling my GTI for the LR3...when it finally freaking arrives, allegedly in March...the GTI has not had a single issue...nothing in 30k. Both my A6 and S6 have had modest issues, mostly quite minor.

Strange, my allroad has actually held up better than my 99.5 A4 2.8.

And it's seen A LOT more abuse.

I'd personally prefer a Touareg over LR3.

Yeah, a Land Rover should be more reliable?

They were dead last in the JD Power survey last year, and it's a first model year rig. Go read the forum at Eemunds.com before you buy.

My local Land Rover dealer has massively expanded his service area

Used LR3 available in the Pacific NW, maybe

Just not the right car for my friend - too big. Also, ECU replaced already (apparently, a pervasive problem on the LR3). About 2k miles.
