Default Transmission Error

Well I had my first VAG error code last weekend. The check engine light came on and I notice that my RPM's were up to 3250 @70MPH (normally 3000@70MPH). They checked and sure enough there was something that we stopping my tranny from achieving full lock up. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks
Curtis

Nope. They didn't elaborate on that. Any clues?

Did they change or repair/replace anything?

Default Different problem, 1st gear going bad

Just got back my allroad last week. On quick take offs from first gear - the gear would slip and then the car would vibrate as the tach would race to redline without much forward acceleration. This was the second time it was in for the same repair, first time it was not as noticeable but they found the trans fluid low 1/2 a quart, topped it off and let me go. The second time the mechanic road along with me when I dropped it off and was shocked at how bad it was. After a week... and comms between Audi and ZF they replaced a valve body in the transmition and said it had been redesigned???? Anyway it is ok now but the 1-2 2-1 shifts seem alot harsher.
May not be the same problem with your car but at least my dealer(service dept.) had the sense to contact the pros (ZF) instead of trying to diagnose it themselves. Your service dept. should be able to contact the same tech rep for ZF.
Hope this helps.
love the allroad but... it is only seven months old and has been in the shop for well over a month (different problems) and a half since I've owned it.
Minor problems that required major fixes. They must of built it on a Friday.
