Default WAHOO! Finally got some snow here!

The Utah resorts got up to 72" on Friday and it started snowing again about 2:00 am this morning and is still dumping! Another 4+ feet expected in the next 48 hrs. I think I'll be calling in sick later this week....

I went snow shoeing with my dogs this morning & took some pics of the snow. The Pirelli tires are not that bad in the snow. Pretty decent traction, braking is not the best but still pretty good. I'd rate them about an 8 of 10 for snow performance. Considering all the things they are supposed to do (offroad, high speeds, snow, be reasonably quiet) they have made a pretty cool tire. They handled this stuff pretty well and considering that the roads around here get plowed fairly quickly, I won't be driving in this stuff very often. I'm generally more worried about the other idiots out there!!!

I don't think I'll be buying snow tires. My plans are to buy some performance tires & 18" wheels for summer use and save the tread on these for offroad & winter use.

Even on level 4, the snow was still packing up underneath.
