Well, got my allroad to go 70mph today....

on a trailer behind the save-the-day-F350 once again. Dropped it off at ASP's new location which is going to be quite an impressive facility. They are still working on stuff there. In fact, I guess mine will be the first customer car in the new shop. They have about 8 bays now with 4 or 5 brand new lifts and a built into the ground 4 wheel dyno. Their production area is about 4x their old area with a separate room for grinding and polishing.

More interesting was the presence of Sarge's allroad which has been transformed into a complete and utter monster. He has provided some details here, but he seems to be a little quiet about it. I guess because he hasn't taken "delivery" just yet. They threw the whole book at it and then some. They are claiming close to 900 crank HP. Regardless of your feeling on inflation of dyno numbers if it even makes 75% of that it is astonishing.

We are all wishing you luck with this.

keep your fingers crossed that ASP takes the responsability for the work.

I'm, crossing mine too for you.

So the side mirror on the Ford was shaking so bad you thought the sign on the trailer said 95...

yes, Good Luck!

Been far too long, but you know that.

I guess it depends on what happened. They did not do TB service so if it's TB its on me.

I would seriously make a case that going 45 up Rt.95 would be more dangerous than 70

Didn't they have to remove the belt to do the head gasket?

RMcQ 10-09-2007 03:07 AM

Yes, but it still depends on what happened. If they didn't put something back together right

it could be on them but if the tensioner failed it would not be their fault.

I'm not going to speculate any longer. It will probably be next week before they tear into it. I will have to trust that I get a fair analysis and resolution.

Where is ASP located? Do they have a web site?

And good luck.........
