What are the most essential mods?
So, it's obvious that most folks here don't run their vehicles stock, but what would you consider the most essential modifications and what in order would you tackle them?
H-Sports? Wheels? Tint? Coil overs? BBK? Chipping? Lowering? Exhaust? Dice/Icelink? others?
Where would you suggest a newbie start and in what order might they progress?

There's been tomes written on this in the past, but here goes...
1) H-Sports
2) Chip
3) DTS/short shifter (assuming your'e a 6 speed)
4) Brakes
5) Exhaust
The rest -- wheels, tint, coil overs, lowering, IceLink, etc., are pretty hotly contended, in particluar coil overs. No doubt that they improve ride, but for some (a lot?) of us, the ride height adjustability is one of the main reasons we got an AR in the first place.
I went all the way to stage 3... very worth it if you're into that sort of thing.

Oh, god.
Just kidding.
here in SC tint's important so my order is:
H-Sports
Tint
Drive-line work - 034 engine and tranny and / or DTS
Brakes.
then Power.
Of course I could be totally wrong about the power coming last part.

start here..
1. Get rid of the OEM allroad tires.
2. 402 mod.. lowers your ride height overall about an inch.
3. One button remote all windows down or up
2/3 are free if you have or a freind has a VAG come.
THen the money starts.. what the others said.

Exhaust details...
The part numbers for the exhaust (with the current prices on the Magnaflow site) are:
- 12616 - 6" x 14" mufflers w/ 2.5" inlets (x2) - $69.22 ea
- 10426 - 4" x 18" resonators w/ 2.5" inlets (x2) - $63.62 ea
- 2.5" x-pipe - $25.11
- 2.5" stainless tubing - not sure on price there
(all of the above are "satin stainless" -- didn't feel the need to upgrade to polished)
- Tips - 35164 double-walled angle-tip 4" (x2) - $98.11 ea
I have a vid clip somewhere of the new exhaust vs. a stock RS6 sound-enhanced, will post to YouTube and get a link here.
