Default what were changes in 2001 after VIN # 70000?

I've noticed that in looking at parts for the Allroad that in the 2001 model year certain parts changed after VIN # 70000, like the shifter, and the trailer hitch is different. Does any one know what the differences in 2001 Allroads before and after VIN # 70000, and perhaps why the changes were made?

Default Rotors and calipers changed somewhere in there

I know there was a change in brake equipment mid-year, but I don't know exactly where the VIN changeover happened.

Default What's the caliper change?

I've got #70402 (IIRC) and I know I've got solid rear rotors. ;^( I was unaware of a caliper change.

Default Re: What's the caliper change?

Sorry I'm a little vague on the details, I belive its only the fronts, but I'm not positive. Actually, I could be totally wrong, but when I started looking for new brakes up front, everyone wanted to know the VIN because there was some mid-year change.
