Default I just bought...

Yokohama Avid A4S's at the recommendation of this forum. They are Ultra High Performance All Season and ran $155 per corner for the 18s at Tirerack. Still too early to say for me, but that decision was based upon input from this forum and the reviews on Tirerack as well as affordability.

Default You want to run these tires all year in Maine?

If so Nokian WR's are probably your best choice. All season tire with the extreme conditions classificaion.

I would not recommend running a Ultra High Performance tire in Maine during the winter months. They are "acceptable" for light snow (ie dusting), but for the weather you get and the mountain roads I assume you travel -- bad idea.

Default I just threw...

Nokian WRs on because I do a lot of snowboarding up in Maine and Vermont, and based on everything I've heard about them, I'm kind of looking forward to the snow at this point...

They're good, I can still pretty much scream through corners, although you are sacrificing a bit of dry traction for what is supposed to be fantastic winter handling, and being in Maine, it's probably a worthy tradeoff...

Default Re: I'll probably be going with Goodyear Assurance Triple Treads (about $120)

Michelin MXV4 Energy if the price is the same. Both a very quiet, handle well, and should last about 15K miles. Both in OEM sizes. I had the Michelins and was very happy with them but they've gotten very pricey.
