I went through the OEM P6's in 7-8k miles.

The PZero Nero M&S are much better... GREAT tires and you just cannot beat the price, usually less than $100 a tire! Highly recommend them!

245/50ZR17. I'm on my third set. Great traction dry and wet. Good in snow. Not cheap though, $219 ea. from Tire Rack. Good for 20-25K miles of spirited driving. What ever brand you chose I would highly recommend this size on stock 17" rims. Slightly wider size helps prevent curb rash on twin spokes, besides looking more agressive.

My Yoko Advan S.4. have 23k & look like new. They handle great in all conditions, dry, wet & even went through the Minnesota winter. Using Tire Rack's objective testing methods it seemed a no brainer when I bought them. I will buy them again, probably around another 30 or 40k miles :-).

I have Nokian WR's for winter, and they handle really well <b>for an all-season tire</b>, especially when it's cold out and they're a bit stiffer.

However, when I switch over to my summer setup, it's day and night difference in handling and road feel. No more squishy ride -- the daddywagon sticks like glue. :-)

A lot of people refer to all-seasons as "no seasons" -- I get the cost restriction, but think of it this way -- after your initial investment you'll get twice as much life (time wise) out of your tires b/c you're only running each set half the time. Plus, you get the safety and grip of dedicated winter tires when it's cold, and the high-performance stick of summers when it's warm.

That said, the Nokians are the way to go if you need just one tire IMO. Aside from being squishy in the heat, they do their job really well in the winter and are passable at other times.

My point being you are making a comparison of significantly different tires. The all season 19"s I run DO stick to dry pavement like white on rice.
I really could not handle anything that stuck any better. You on the other hand have different objectives ;-)

Up in the mountains you can snow almost any month,and these have been good handling wet or dry. 20k+ on the first set. I go with snows in the winter. I really liked the Mich PS on my A4, but hesitated on the allroad because of the stories and cost. Advans also expensive though.

and actually go offroading in the allroad.Summer tires don't have the grip sometimes.

They have a nice high treadwear rating and VIP was giving the 4th tire away. I'll let you know how it goes but so far I really like them. Very smooth ride and a bit of a mileage bump so far.
