Whats seems to be the consensus on wheel size....
....18x7.5 compared to 18x8.5 etc...
I dont think I want to go 19 but I do want as fat of a tire as possible. Is the 7.5 going to limit my tire selection more than than an 8.5 or will the sidewall just function a little different?

Just put 18x8.5 rims on...
...with 255/45R18 all-season tires on it. I too wanted a thicker width. These dimensions are close to the 255/40R18 on the RS6, which is what I was going for...

I have the OEM RS6 winter wheel with Nokian NRY's, approved width 7.5-9"...
and a measuring width of 8". They work perfectly in tandem, love them. There is so little sidewall anyway, its not that big of a deal..
