Who's had their rotors replaced recently? Post-replacement squeal?
As I posted recently, I had the dealer attempt to investigate the 35-65 shudder/shimmy. After the 3rd attempt, they found a tech sensitive enough to notice it. The diagnosis was warped rotors which were replaced.
When the car was returned, the front rotors squealed like a freight train. I went back and demonstrated, but the suggestion was simply to run them for a while - they're new. I pointed out that it didn't do this at delivery when they were "new".
fast-forward. I've put 250 miles on it, and about 10 panic stops (intentional) from 40-50mph. Man this thing stops well! Squeal, however is reduced but still present. Wondering how long it will take... Oh, and by the way the shudder is still the same.
No follow-up received from dealer, and I just filled out my JD Power survey :-|
