Won't raise up to level 4??

I am a new owner of an '01 allroad with 86k. I did a lot or reading before buying and decided the risks were worth the price I paid for the car. I am able to adjust the car from position one to three without any issues but can not get the car to even attempt position four. The light does not come on or flash at all. Is there anything I need to do to select #4 or is a deeper problem?

Best starting points would be using soapy water or windex to check for leaks and using a VAGCOM to pull any codes related to the auto leveling suspension.

make sure you wait for level three....

I believe you have to wait for the car to fully reach level 3 before pressing the up arrow to level 4. At this time the yellow light will blink until you reach the top.

Disagree respectfully...you can push the level switch until level 4 lites up from level 2 or 1....my 2001 does this.

KC sounds like his car definitely has a leaky front bag, a line or pump problem. Can the car go into 'jack' mode ?

I do have a set of rear tail lights with orange blinkers like the 02-05 if you are interested. $100.00 plus shipping.
drop me an email @ pachecoa002@hawaiiantel.net if you have questions or need pics.

I don't have any issues with the bags leaking. I can leave it at level 3 all night and I don't have any changes in the morning. I have let it sit for 48 hours at three and didn't see any drop. I measured from the floor to the top of the wheel arches and it was around 29.5" all the way around.

UPDATE. While in the driving in a downpour the other day i decided it would be fun to run through the deepest standing water I could find as fast as possible. Not sure what kind of magic happened but my car goes up to level 4 and stays there witout and problems now.
