Wrong atf p0811
I recently purchased a 2005 2.7 audi allroad. The previous owner told me that he attempted to change the transmission filter then afterwords the car will not drive anymore. It does not show what gear it's in. He showed me that he put in Valvoline multi vehicle atf. I immediately knew he put the wrong fluid in the car. So I brought it home and put the correct fluid in the transmission. Now it shows its in gear. The code has gone away. BUT the car won't move. SO I'm worn between the fluids contaminated Because when I drained it there was still Valvoline Max life within transmission And even though I replaced the fluid the valve body is destroyed from the wrong fluid OR I need to flush more fluid and eventually the car will move. Has anybody personally seen this on a audi or vw? I want to have faith the transmission is still good and I should throw more fluid at it but at the same time could understand why the transmission would be damaged that badly from the wrong fluid being installed and want to just install another trans. Or repair the valve body myself. I'm confident I can repair it once I pin point the issue. Right now I'm honestly wondering if the fluid contamination is why the car won't drive anymore forward or reverse.

I pulled the trans pan and found metal flakes. Should have just pulled the pan before I put the new fluid in the transmission. But got a new trans coming Friday. Thank you for the reply.
