Default X-post from the Wheel and Tire Forum, can anyone here help?

I have a 2004 allroad with a stock 17x7.5 et25. If I go to a 18x9 et35 what size spacer do I need? 15?

Where is the best place to buy a quality spacer and bolt (locking bolts also) set?

thanks in advance<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/wheel/msgs/87050.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/wheel/msgs/87050.phtml</a</li></ul>

What length bolt do you use? 255/45-18 tire?

Default 245/45-18 tire. Bolt length will depend somewhat on what brand wheel...

you're looking at. For my Enkei wheels and my old Hartmann B7S4 Reps, I run a 40mm bolt with my 15mm spacer; but for my BBS with the same 15mm spacer, I need a 45mm length bolt. I guess the amount of material under the bolt seat is thicker on the BBS.

The stock bolt is 27mm in length, but keep in mind it is also a ball seat. Almost all aftermarket wheels are a cone (taper) seat so be sure to get the correct length and shape.

Default Do you think a 255/45-18 tire would be a problem?

Same LM wheel and I would use the 15mm spacer and 40mm bolts you suggested.

Default I doubt it, but don't know. Why a 255?

That tire will not only be a bit wider, but taller too. With the 15mm spacer, the inner sidewall of the front 245's are very close to the strut. Can't even fit a finger in between. But a different brand tire than my Goodyears might have a slightly narrower sidewall profile too. Can't say for sure, but based on my setup, I would be concerned.
