yay, christmas tree warning fixed, new fun headlight dimmer & height sensor warnings!
brought the car in to fix a brake light swtich, which had gone from being bothersome to being dangerous when the brake lights were stuck off for the morning and on for the afternoon... goodie
so that was fixed, I picked it up from the dealer and after a 20 minute ride home the headlight dimmer warning and height warning come on with a nice loud beep (headlights were off at the time)
got an appointment to fix this on Monday, the problem shows up after driving for 10-20 minutes no matter what now, seems fastest on level 3 and slowest on level 1
it was the dealer so they *should* have known to put it into jack mode but who knows... the weird thing is the headlight dimmer, they seem to work fine too (headlight "dimmer" is what adjust the lights up and down depending on suspension level, it shows up in the center display and makes a nice beep)

Same happened to mine. One of the sensors for the wheel height is bad. The headlights use the same sensor to adjust. My ar still would adjust the lights even with the warning on the dash.

Re: figured as much... I just hope it's a quick change
very quick, if the dealer has the part should take under a hour. Mine, a '01 CPO, was needed for a major drive the next day(2500 miles). The dealer put it on VAG, the faulty sensor showed up, mechanic changed it in like 5 minutes. Put back on VAG and recalibrated the system.
Props need to go to catrubis audi in layton ut for that.
