Has anyone looked into getting a trailer hitch installed by Audi? I've been told the part is not yet available and therefore no idea of cost, and issues.

I have not, but for planning expect around $2500 for the Audi one. That is what it cost on a 2017 Q7 from the local dealer.

Mine came equipped with the towing package, $650 in the USA

Thanks. My 2018 Q7 had it from factory but the e-tron I bought did not (was a cancelled order).

I have the factory trailer hitch on my e-tron and based on the limited exploration I've done under the car, it looks like the factory hitch is welded to the frame, not bolted, so it looks like Audi would need to develop a bolt-on solution for an aftermarket hitch addition. I'll try to look at it more closely at some point in the next few days and report back.

Given how low the EPA is just with the car itself, I hate to see how much it drops the moment you attach a trailer to the car.....
