It does appear you can go on a waitlist though until money is made available again. So the question is what's more important? HOV stickers or $2,500

Last I checked the rebate has dried up and was waiting for more funding which you can go on a list for. It seems the only people that can get both HOV sticker and rebate are ones who meet an income threshold
It depends on household income. I got both rebate and CAV stickers. I make less than $150K annually.

Thanks. I filed jointly and qualified for under $300,000 to receive both. Applied for the rebate and submitting the HOV application today as my license plates just arrived in the mail. Also submitted for the $800 EV rebate from PG&E so have now exhausted all my rebate options. I know the CA rebate is exhausted but you go into a queue and when money is available you're in line to receive

I submitted my decal application on 5/23/19. DMV has yet to cash my check. Called sacramento office this morning and they confirmed that they do indeed have my application and that the processing unit is severely behind. Was told that it would be another 2 weeks or so for them to process my application. So that's an estimated 2 months, 2 days wait.

I just received mine yesterday. Submitted 5/21, Check Cashed 7/3, Received 7/11.... so the whole process took about 7 weeks.

Got mine 7/8. 5 days after check was deposited. Took about 7 weeks. Mounted them on 3M bumper guard film and applied them as low as possible. The rear facing small sticker was the tricky one. There was not a good location for it and I ended up tucking it in on the underside of the bumper. They are ugly but necessary for my So Cal commute.

Remember, you don't get a free pass on the FastTrak lanes anymore. You get a whopping 15% discount on tolls instead.
