The is excellent news. This, combined with no sales tax in NJ on EVs is making it much more attractive.

It is my understanding that there has been nothing official from AFS to dealers about passing along the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit. I am hoping that someone can confirm that I am incorrect. If AFS does not pass along the tax credit, it will be more than disappointing.

This is a cut and paste from and email the Audi regional representative sent to the dealers a couple of days ago:

F&I teams

Federal Tax Credit is in the process on getting approval for AFS contracts stay tuned for more info.

However, if customers pays cash/or outside financing - the Tax Credit is handled by the customer, on their tax return for 2019.

(All state rebates, have to be handled by the customer too just FYI).

Offer today from my dealer on an Edition One was either 60 month financing at 2.9% or 72 months at 3.4%. On the lease side, 39 months at 10k miles per year, .0032 money factor and 45% residual.

Here's my offer from my dealer for my Prestige e-tron: financing @ 1.9% (AFS) for up to 66 months or lease for .0025 MF and 49% residual for 36 months and 15K (Audi Care gives an extra +1%). My thinking today is that I'm going with the lease (until tomorrow)

Does the difference between the financing numbers (macwm vs EditionOne) come down to credit assessment? Is there any difference attributed to State or other reason? I didn't realize AFS was offering 1.9%, that doesn't sound too bad compared to other sources.
