Charging rates at public charging stations
I'm trying to plan a trip, but the only "high speed" chargers in the vicinity of my route are 50 kW EVGo chargers. Am I calculating correctly that to add 100 miles of range to my car will take around an hour at one of these units, assuming I'm getting the full 50 kW for most of the charge time?

In New England, the Level 3 charging network is currently woefully inadequate. Especially in heavily travelled highway corridors in NH and VT. I'm trying to go from Boston to Burlington VT, normally a 4 hour drive that will take approximately 7 hours in the e-tron because the highest rate chargers on the route are 50 kW. So I guess we'll be taking the Q7 TDI. When you look at the Plugshare charging map of New England and then scroll up to Southern Canada (Montreal and vicinity), the density of high speed chargers looks like it's triple that of similar US cities. It's unfortunate there's not more proactive government support for the infrastructure here.

Yes, my car is getting about 2.5 miles per kWh, on the motorway, and hilly terrain. Yesterday I went over the mountain pass to our cabin to meet a contractor, and went 192 miles all motorway, and had 36 miles of indicated range when I got home. I had previously tried fast charging on Electrify America fast charger (with the dealership loaner E-tron) in our area, and was impressed with the charging speed, 100 miles in less than 20 minutes.
