I知 out

Most 1st gen EV's have gotten price cuts shortly after introduction. Cars have a price schedule more like tech these days and its been felt by early adopters. A few years after I bought my Chevy Volt, it got a $5000 price reduction (12.5%) which instantly lowered my resale value. The drivetrain technology is changing in EVs so fast right now that none of them are a "good" value but that's the price to be paid for early adopting.

I think the battery power/weight ration is changing relatively slowly. There is nothing out there that will double power/weight ratios in the next 2 or 3 years. What will change is the speed of charging as people are figuring out ways to improve the anode (and cathode) materials so that higher charging rates are possible. Instead of promising 80% in 30 minutes we probably will see 80% in 5 minutes.
