Default L3 Charging Software Glitch?

Rec’d an email from Audi, “Important news about your Audi e Tron.” It described a situation where the charging handle would fail to disconnect “in a limited number of circumstances.” Owners were assured a software fix would be available by the end of the year. I do not describe a number of remedies offered in the email. My question is if others received this email or, as I suspect, it was sent only to owners with the software fault.

Yes, received it 2 weeks ago.

Yes, received it a couple of weeks ago too, but haven't had the issue. Of course, I've only used a Level 3 charger once, so not a lot of experience with L3 chargers.

On a similar note, I ran in to the same issue Bjorn Nyland had when trying to disconnect the CCS cable with the auxiliary A/C system enabled. To remedy, I turned off the A/C system, pushed the button, and it released. As far as I can tell, it doesn't let you know this is the reason you can't disconnect.

What was your build number? The last 6 digits of VIN reflect the build number. My car is 007092 and I haven’t received an email.

008686. Presently out of town with the “E” sitting home with 174 mi. Will gain more experience with it soon I hope, but prefer my X5 M or 750 — former for power and latter for smooth, powerful ride. I due like the quiet ride as well as easy transition to the E. I’m sure wife and I will make it our favorite for short local trips.
