Lidar?
I've been cross-shopping the eTron with the Q8 and noticed that it has only one sensor below the front grille, as opposed to two on the Q8.
Do you know if the eTron has the same driver assistance capabilities as the Q8, despite the apparent single-sensor setup? |

Do you know if the eTron has the same driver assistance capabilities as the Q8, despite the apparent single-sensor setup? You have confused the function of what you see. On the Q8, you see both the laser scanner and longe range sensor on each side of the grille (like the A6/A7). On the e-tron, the laser scanner is in the centre, below the grill (like the A8). The long range radar seems to be in the left hand top corner of the grill area behind the shroud. Most of the radar sensors are hidden from view (don't need line of sight, obviously), I assume it is exposed on some models just for a design balance. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...e7be229f59.png Audi Q8 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...d3df50f13b.png Audi e-tron https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.aud...172da4544a.png Audi D5 A8 |
