NO AM Radio
Since there is no AM radio in the e tron is there an aftermarket method to allow one to listen to AM radio?

I’m sure there is a smartphone app to get the stations you want.

Are you sure no AM? North American Owner's Manual says this:
The radio supports the FM, AM and SiriusXM* (satellite radio) bands. Using the HD Radio receiver also allows you to receive radio stations on the FM and AM bands in digital format |
That is good news. My dealer told me there was no AM radio due to some electronic interference.

Gerry's post of the Window Sticker shows no AM Radio. Hmmm.

Speaking as a licensed Ham radio operator, AM is highly susceptible to radio interference ( unlike FM which has "Capture effect"). A passive band pass filter will help, but, the fact that the front motor WILL generate signals in the kHz band, and is merely a couple of feet from the head-unit, and the oscillating signal will travel thru the giant power cable ( acting like an antenna), and AM radio by design must pick up distance (faint) signal and amplify it. Sure, engineers can use a feedback loop to actively "counter/cancel" the motor signals but there will be some distortion as the motor is winding up and down.

According to my EU owner manual, e-tron has AM radio.
