Yeah that’s crap that that happened. It almost seems like Audi didn’t account for front plates at all?
so how about one of these retractable plate devices? Not sure how we’d wire it but....still a cool idea. Anybody interested in doing some research?

I don't care about price thats their problem. That is why I made the requested in writing that they do not attach the front bracket. It has nothing to do with the law or the delivery, when you get a 90k car and instruct the dealer not to touch it they should do just that or reject your request. If they had done the latter I would have just switched delivery to a different dealer. But they said in writing they would follow my requests but didn't.

A petition may make you feel better but nothing will ever come from it. If you're in a front plate state, if you can live with the potential for a probable cause stop, don't worry about - just leave it off. You're more likely to have a meter maid (in California) cite you for no front plate than the CHP.

Does anyone have any experience with the Skene Design No Holes License Plate Bracket? It seems like a good concept and not too expensive. Also, no wiring. If it fits the e-tron it could be a good solution.

From what little I've read seems to be more of an issue when parking in metered or street spots. The meter maids then write tickets for no front plate.

I've been living in WA state for 16 years where front plates are required. I've never installed my front plate on my cars....never had any problems. And I've been pulled over 2-3 times in that period and either the cops didn't notice or didn't care.

It has been alleged, in Colorado, that front plates are legally required simply as a money-making activity for the state. They are made by prison inmates, at labor rates of a few dollars per hour, and sold by the state for a lot more. I have never seen any law enforcement state they recommend front plates. I think cops feel the requirement is cheesy.
