Production Date for 3/28 Configuration Lock
 

I talked with Elis from Audi customer support and it sounds like for those of us who locked on 3/28 the production date will be 4/25. Sounds like there could be more information coming in a few weeks.

Change from yesterday: "In Production" Ordered Feb, lock 3/28

Ordered: October
Locked: 3/28
Moved to "gearing up for production" 4/3

No email - just saw the change on the website.

Wow. That's fast!

Called customer service yesterday just to check to see if there was any actual update from them on the slow down we're reading in the press. They said they had no info on any such slow down. Today, I was surprised to get a follow up email to our conversation. In it the consultant confirmed what you said Larry about an April 25th production date. So I must be in that group. He also said that my delivery estimate is end of August/early September or 16 to 18 weeks from today at the earliest. Sigh.... I have to agree this is a bit of a frustrating process since there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the order in which things are going now after the Edition Ones.

My reservation finally moved to "In production" this morning. I go for my test drive at my dealer in the morning so this give me a little renewed excitement...but still confused at how this process is moving along. Has anyone else seen any more progress?

My reservation finally moved in to production today, very excited. I do wonder how long it will stay in production.

Larry - Mine (that I have relinquished) was in production 30 days despite the dealer advising me they make about 30 per day. It was "Leaving the Factory" for 15 days. Good luck getting it soon - worth the wait...it is a beautiful car!

10 days later and I'm still in production. Based on everyone else's experience this is normal, but a bit frustrating.
